Can often be achieved in a single (extended) session of typically an hour and a half, up to 2 hours. The Smoking Cessation Package includes an effective and intensive extended session of hypnotherapy plus complimentary follow-up session. It includes a detailed history to identify and target triggers for smoking, desensitisation, elimination of cravings, increased motivation and will power. A second follow-up session of up to 45 minutes reinforces the positive changes for ongoing sustained success.

Phobias are more debilitating than fears and can be caused by a range of things, it could be a phobia of animals, situations or feelings. Phobias can develop at different stages of a persons life. Phobias may lead to you changing what you do or when you do it to avoid contact with the cause of your phobia.
This ultimately leads to a limited, restricted life and you may miss out on things you want to do as a result of your phobia. Phobias can also lead to unwanted physical responses, which can vary in severity, from butterflies in your stomach to feeling nauseous to sweating to running away. The great news is that almost all phobias can be treated successfully using hypnotherapy.
People with phobias often say things like "I know its stupid but...." or "I know it won't hurt but.....". From a hypnotherapists' point of view, it is understood how phobias develop, and that to the people who experience any kind of phobia the fear is very real. Hypnosis can be used to treat phobias in a range of ways; generally I will concentrate on the situations in which you experience your phobia and help you build up your confidence in those situations, as well as using desensitisation techniques to reduce the level of fear associated with phobia.
Most people don't realise that adding hypnotic trance to a variety of weight control methods can improve results and help maintain them. It is not about the next trend or fad diet, it's about teaching you to listen and tune into what your body needs and craves... Which is good, healthy, nutritious food. It will help you eat more consciously and mindfully, enabling you to satisfy your hunger and enjoy good food in appropriate amounts.
I can offer aversion suggestions, which are negative suggestions, such as "biscuits will sicken you". They work for a short period of time and can help you start to control your weight by cutting out a particular food which may be your Achilles heel, but for lasting, fulfilling change, positive suggestions are more appropriate. These can help take control not only of your weight but other aspects of your life, and can can raise confidence and self esteem. It only takes one phone call to start your route to change!

Is it natural?
Hypnotherapy is a very natural process! It is a means of altering and optimising our thoughts, feelings and behaviours to achieve a specific outcome. This may be to stop smoking, overcome a fear of flying or just to be able to give ourselves a confidence-boost when needed for an important meeting or event! The 'hypnotic state', often referred to as 'trance' or sleep, is a natural state that we all experience several times a day, such as when we drive on 'autopilot' with our minds elsewhere, or slip into a daydream. All the therapist does is help you enter hypnotic state at a specific time, and use it in a more productive way. Clinical hypnotherapy enables the client to enjoy a lovely state of relaxation whilst being guided to make positive changes to your life. As a client YOU are always in control!
Is it safe?
Hypnotherapy is perfectly safe. It is not a sleep as in the sleep of bedtime. It is not unconsciousness. It is simply a deeply relaxed state. You are able to move, hear things around you and get up and leave if you need to. You are completely in control at all times and will only take on board what is beneficial to you.
Is it effective?
Our conscious minds are designed to analyse and often over-think and this can make it hard to change attitudes and behaviours which, over time, have become habits. Entering hypnotic state allows the analytical part of the brain to take a break so the therapist can focus on the unconscious mind. The unconscious mind is a vast store of learned behaviours, attitudes and responses and once these have been identified it is possible to adjust them to produce a lasting change to a specific habit or behaviour. The mind is like an iceberg...
