Otley Jewellers

Took a Seiko watch in for battery replacement, ordered new battery and was then told actually battery fine but watch needs repair. Gave watch to Otley Jewellers who said it would be sent to an official Seiko repair shop. All good upto this point. Over the 8 weeks that followed the excuses for me not getting my watch back ranged - in this order- from the postal strike, to it needing cleaning, to a part being ordered from Japan, to the part that they ordered from Japan being faulty and another needing ordering. Eventually asked for my watch back and it is heavily scratched on the casing, the winding stem is no longer connected and there is dust beneath the glass. Roy, the owner I assume, was very polite and courteous throughout this 8 week period but this didn't actually help in getting my watch fixed, nor did it make his constant excuses any more acceptable. He told me that once he had sent it away he could no nothing more, although frankly I think he was being led on by his repaire
